My sister, Gaby Morales, is the definition of strength, resilience, and perseverance. Through every hardship and challenge life placed in front of her, she never gave up. Instead, she kept moving forward, not only for herself, but for her son, Noah.At only a few months old, Noah lost his father due to gun violence. His father was a well-known athlete in Fresno who played both basketball and football, and his passing left behind a grieving family and a future filled with uncertainty. During one of the hardest moments of her life, my sister was forced to carry the weight of motherhood, loss, school, and work all at once. While trying to process such a tragedy, she still had to show up for finals, continue her education, and be strong for her son.Most people would have broken under that kind of pressure, but not her.Despite every obstacle, she continued to fight for a better future. She balanced being a single mother, working hard, and attending school, all while making sure Noah felt loved and cared for every single day. Watching her push through pain with grace and determination inspired me more than she will ever know.When my sister earned her bachelor’s degree, it changed the way I viewed life and my own future. Seeing her accomplish something so meaningful after everything she endured showed me that no obstacle is too big if you have faith and determination.Her journey motivated me to believe in myself and keep going, even during difficult times. Because of her example, I decided to continue my own education and pursue college as well.Now, I am preparing to graduate in May of this year, and I truly believe I would not be here without her inspiration. She taught me that resilience means continuing forward even when life feels unfair. She taught me that strength is not about never struggling, but about refusing to quit.
Today, my sister continues to inspire everyone around her. She is now hoping to attend graduate school and earn her master’s degree, which speaks volumes about her ambition and dedication. Through every trial, error, and tribulation, she has kept her faith and continued striving to give Noah the best possible life.
I could not be more proud of the woman she has become. Gaby Morales is more than my sister she is my role model. Her story is one of perseverance and unconditional love. She reminds me every day that no matter how difficult life becomes, it is always possible to keep going.

I’m nominating Debora because she is one of the strongest women I know.
She became a single mother at a very young age and has been fighting ever since. From moving from place to place just to survive, to struggling to take care of herself while still putting her child first , life has truly tested her.
What makes her story even more painful is that she had almost nobody. Apart from her elderly mother, she faced everything alone after her husband’s family turned their backs on her and the kid.
But through it all, she never gave up and that is what inspires me most about her. Even with all the pain, stress, and rejection, she still wakes up every day and keeps going for her child. That kind of love and strength deserves to be celebrated.

Elizabeth is a single mother of two boys and has managed to get herself through school, while juggling working and being a full time mom. Her commitment to giving her kids a better life and being present shows how much strength she has. I think the dedication and love she has for her kids deserves to be recognized, I don’t know if she realizes it but she’s the true definition of no excuses! From getting off work, to running her kids to practices/games, she never falls short of being a phenomenal mom, friend, and overall person. A brain aneurysm in 2023 and I was the one that found him unresponsive and my mom and I am my brother. We’re very heartbroken and my mom especially because she was going through it alone and he had to have surgery and everything. My mom never gave up. She kept strong through it all even though I know it was hurting her and me, but God seen my brother threw it all even this year he went for a check. They told us that he had another one. My mom still held strong for all of us, including my little brother and they were able to do another procedure to make sure that this time around it doesn’t burst my mom is a strong individual and I’m glad God bless me with her and my siblings

I decided to go back to school because I want to continue to be a great role model for my children and I have always wanted to be a nurse. I have always had a passion for helping others. Rayshell has been one of the strongest women I have ever known. We met in college, and even back then I knew she had a special kind of determination and heart. Today, she is a single mother raising her 13 year-old son completely on her own, and despite every challenge life has placed in front of her, she continues to make things happen for her family.
Watching her journey has inspired me more than words can explain. Being a single mom is not easy, yet she carries the weight of responsibility with grace, strength, and unconditional love for her son. She works hard every single day to provide for him, support him emotionally, and create opportunities for his future. Even during difficult times, she never gives up.
