About Xavier Worthy

Xavier Worthy is more than a record-breaking wide receiver—he’s a champion for single moms and under-resourced families.

After a standout college career with the Texas Longhorns and a historic 4.21-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Xavier was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024. Despite his rise, Xavier stays grounded in his roots. Raised in Fresno, CA by his mother, Nicky Jones, he attributes his resilience and success to her love, sacrifice, and guidance.

Now, through The Worthy 1’s , he’s committed to creating meaningful, lasting change—offering hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for families just like his own.

Back2School Grants: Provide financial support, laptops, and resources for mothers returning to school to pursue their education.

Financial Empowerment & Literacy

Workshop Sessions: Teach budgeting, credit building, and long-term money management skills designed for single-parent households.

Health & Wellness

Workshop Sessions: Equip single mothers with practical tools to strengthen their mental, emotional, and physical well-being, helping them build confidence, reduce stress, and thrive in all areas of life.

Youth & Outreach

Youth R.I.S.E.: Tailored youth programs providing mentorship opportunities, sports activities, and family engagement—offered in schools, juvenile facilities, and community spaces.

Youth Sports Camps: Fun, skills-based experiences teaching discipline, confidence, and teamwork—both on and off the field.

Community Engagement

Luncheons & Brunch Events: Nurturing spaces for single mothers to connect, share, and uplift one another through inspiring speakers, meaningful discussions, and community support.

Winter Back2School Coat & Shoe Drives: Provides new coats & shoes to children from single-parent households, helping them start the school year with confidence and comfort.

Worthy Spotlight: Verbal affirmation program that boosts confidence and reminds single-parent families of their value and strength.

2025 Xavier Worthy Football Camp

July 5, 2025 · Edison High School

Xavier Worthy’s 2025 free football camp, hosted through The Worthy 1’s Foundation, brought over 400 kids, 30 volunteers and 60+ Coaches/HS players to his old youth football stomping grounds, Edison High School, for a day filled with skill drills, mentorship, and inspiration. Making a special appearance was Chiefs teammate and Fresno native, Mac Dalena. At the camp, Worthy coached young athletes on the same field where he once played Pop Warner, sharing his journey from Fresno to the NFL and encouraging kids to dream B1G! With a mission to uplift single parents and youth, the camp exemplified Worthy’s commitment to giving back, showing that with community, belief, and hard work, anything is possible.

Xavier Worthy threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Fresno Grizzlies game at Chukchansi Park, creating a full-circle moment by recreating a childhood photo with his mother and younger sister. The event served as both a celebration and a fundraiser for The Worthy 1’s Foundation, featuring a silent auction and raffle of signed jerseys to support youth and single-parent households. Surrounded by local fans, friends, and community partners, the evening highlighted Worthy’s deep roots in Fresno and his commitment to inspiring the next generation both on and off the field.
